Scribe are delighted to announce that we have acquired UK & Commonwealth (ex Canada) rights to #ENTRYLEVELBOSS by Alexa Shoen, a senior Facebook strategist and career coach.
#ENTRYLEVELBOSS is a hands-on, practical guide to a problem that everybody faces at least once in their life: how to get a job. Shoen cuts through all the noise around job-seeking to deliver simple, clear techniques for finding the job you want, getting your application noticed for the right reasons, nailing the interview stage, and getting hired. At just 29, Shoen’s remarkable career success proves that her methods really work. She is a writer, global technology leader, career-growth expert, and the founder of #ENTRYLEVELBOSS, a digital-first movement empowering young professionals to get onto the career ladder which has an 82% success rate. Originally from San Diego, she has lived in Berlin and other European cities, and is now based in London on the Exceptional Talent (Technology) Visa Scheme, a prestigious immigration route awarded to just 200 world-leading technologists annually.
Rights to #ENTRYLEVELBOSS were acquired by Scribe UK’s Sarah Braybrooke and Molly Slight. They said: ‘This is a practical guide to getting your first job for a working world that has completely changed in the course of a generation. It democratises the job-seeking process by giving young people all the tools and information they need to get their foot in the door even if they don’t have family connections in their chosen career. It can be used by anyone — whether they are a student graduating from university, an 18-year-old leaving school or college, or even somebody more experienced looking to change their career. Alexa is a warm, funny, empathetic person, whose impressive career is a testimony to her methods. We are looking forward to working with her on making sure that everybody who reads her book comes away with the job they really want.’
Braybrooke and Slight acquired UK & Commonwealth (ex Canada) rights from Jessica Killingley at the BKS Agency. North American rights have been acquired by St Martin’s Press. Scribe will publish in both the UK and Australia in 2020.
