We are delighted that Ellis Island by Małgorzata Szejnert, translated from the Polish by Sean Gasper Bye, has been shortlisted for the Warwick Prize for Women in Translation 2021!
The £1000 prize aims to address the gender imbalance in translated literature and increase the number of international women’s voices accessible by a British and Irish readership. The judges for this year's prize are Amanda Hopkinson, Boyd Tonkin and Susan Bassnett.
The winner will be announced in an online ceremony on November 24th. For more information about the prize and the other shortlisted titles, please visit the website here.
