Scribe hires Simon Wright as nonfiction commissioning editor

Scribe is delighted to announce the appointment of Simon Wright in the newly created post of commissioning editor, specialising in nonfiction. Wright was previously commissioning editor at The History Press, where his titles included bestseller Blood and Iron by Katja Hoyer, Financial Times Book of the Year 2030 by Mauro F. Guillén, and TLS Book of the Year Jeoffry: The Poet’s Cat by Oliver Soden. He began his editorial career at Weidenfeld & Nicolson, where he worked with authors including Tina Brown, Antonia Fraser, A. A. Gill, Trevor McDonald, Liza Picard, Simon Sebag Montefiore, and Anne Sebba.
