In The Land of Giants shortlisted for the Premio Valle Inclán Prize

In the Land of Giants by Gabi Martínez and translated by Daniel Hahn has been shortlisted by the UK’s Society of Authors for the Premio Valle Inclán Translation Prize.

In the book, Martínez follows the footsteps of the zoologist Jordi Magraner in an attempt to solve the mysterious riddle of his murder whilst he was investigating the mythical barmanu in the perilous terrain of the Pakistani-Afghan borderlands.

The winner will be announced on 13 February. Congratulations to Gabi Martínez and Daniel Hahn!
