Jeremy Gavron shortlisted for Gordon Burn Prize

Scribe is happy to announce that Jeremy Gavron has been shortlisted for his memoir A Woman on the Edge of Time.
The prize winner will be announced at the Durham Book Festival on the 7th October. Jeremy joins five other authors all of whose work embodies the spirit and sensibility of Gordon Burn’s bold and innovative literary methods.
Jeremy Gavron's memoir A Woman on the Edge of Time searches for the mother who was never talked about as he grew up. Discovering letters, diaries, and photos, Gavron is able to paint a picture of a brilliant but complex young woman grappling to find an outlet for her creativity, sexuality, and intelligence.
