The Paula Principle shortlisted for CMI Management Book of the Year Award 2018

Tom Schuller's The Paula Principle has been shortlisted for a CMI Management Book of the Year Award 2018, in the 'Commuter's Read' category. Now in its eighth year, the Management Book of the Year signposts managers and leaders to the books that are breathing new life into management and leadership thinking. It is run by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) — the professional membership body — in partnership with The British Library, and supported by Henley Business School.

Women now outperform men at every level of education, yet in the workplace they are under-promoted and under-paid. In The Paula Princple, Tom Schuller examines why this happens, and asks what we can do about it. Through his research, Schuller identifies the five factors keeping working women from reaching their potential, and offers a convincing argument that making the world of work fairer will not only create a more equal society; it will also increase productivity.

The winners in all five categories of the award will be announced at The British Library on 7 February 2018.
