Shida Bazyar will read and discuss her nominated book, The Nights are Quiet in Tehran, at The International Booker Prize 2026: Shortlist Readings event. This annual event is being held at Lantern Hall in Bristol for the first time, in partnership with Translated By, Bristol festival of translation. Shida will join a lineup of all the shortlisted authors and translators for this special evening reading.

This event takes place just before the weekend the winner of The International Booker Prize is announced. The readings and discussions will be followed by a book signing with the nominated translators and authors.
