Returning to the Belfast International Arts Festival for a second time, Keio Yoshida will discuss the case for enshrining LGBTQ+ rights within international human rights law with Professor Marsha Henry, Queen’s University, Belfast.

In Pride and Prejudices: Queer Lives and the Law, internationally acclaimed human rights lawyer Keio Yoshida presents a searing, forensic examination of global LGBTQ+ rights.

Yoshida analyses case law from around the world as well as the bitter debate over self-ID for trans people in the UK and Florida’s recent ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill, and exposes the legal gaps that continue to endanger queer lives worldwide.
